Friends of Milngavie Reservoir

Gravity-fed from Loch Katrine by a 26-mile aqueduct, the reservoirs are an outstanding example of Victorian engineering. The whole site is designated an ‘A' Listed Building, a Designed Landscape of national importance and a Conservation Area.

The Friends of Milngavie Reservoir are an environmental protection group of volunteers who aim to protect and enhance Mugdock and Craigmaddie Reservoirs - commonly known as the Waterworks. FoMR, who represent the views and aspirations of locals and visitors alike, meet regularly as members of a joint Liaison Group (MRLG) to encourage Scottish Water to meet its obligations to maintain the facility properly.

Come join our group and help safeguard an area of outstanding beauty.
